Privacy Policy

We collect what we need to run LyricDraft and nothing more. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your songs to train AI models.

Who is responsible for your data

LyricDraft is run by LMJ Media, which is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and name, from when you sign up.
  • What you create: song ideas, lyrics, versions, notes, albums, titles, style prompts, and song descriptions.
  • Credits and billing: your plan, credit balance, a history of how credits were used, and the subscription reference and dates our payment provider sends us. We never receive your card details.
  • Technical data: our hosting and sign-in providers keep standard logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our sign-in service uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in, and the app stores some drafts and settings in your own browser.

We use a privacy-friendly analytics service to count visits: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, their approximate country, and a few key steps such as signing up, starting a song, and opening checkout. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are counted from an anonymised value that changes every day, so you cannot be followed from one day to the next. It does not receive your email address or your songs, and sessions are not recorded.

How we use it

  • To run your account, save your songs, and generate and edit lyrics when you ask (to provide the service you signed up for).
  • To manage credits and subscriptions (to provide the service, and to keep records the law requires).
  • To keep LyricDraft secure, fix bugs, and understand costs (our legitimate interest in running a reliable service).
  • To email you about your account and important changes, and occasionally to ask for feedback. You can ask us to stop the feedback emails at any time.

Who processes your data for us

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run LyricDraft: for sign-in, for hosting the website and database, for the AI services that write and edit lyrics, for payments, and for visitor analytics. They only process your data to provide their service to us. The AI services receive the text needed for each request, such as your song idea and lyrics, but not your email address. Our payment provider acts as seller of record and handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it. Some of our providers are based outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where they are, we rely on the safeguards the law provides for international transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and songs until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. When you do, your songs, notes, albums, and credits are permanently removed. Payment records held by our payment provider are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You can download your songs and delete your account yourself from the app at any time. For anything else, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live.

Children

LyricDraft is for people aged 13 and over. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you by email or in the app if the change matters.
