Credits and billing, answered.

How do credits work?

Every AI action costs a few credits. A full song costs 10, a lyric edit 4, improving a section or drafting YouTube metadata 2, and style helpers and prompt tidy-ups 1. Editing lyrics by hand is always free. Spend them in any combination you like.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every account starts with 18 free credits and no card — enough for a full song plus a couple of edits, or a song with metadata and a handful of helpers.

Do free credits renew?

No. The 18 free credits are a one-time pack when you sign up. Paid plans refill every month.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Each month your balance is reset to your plan's full allowance — 1,000 on Songwriter, 2,000 on Songwriter Pro — rather than added to what is left.

What happens if I run out?

On the free plan, subscribing gives you a full monthly allowance straight away. On a paid plan, your credits refill on your renewal date, or you can move up to Songwriter Pro for double the allowance.

Can I change plans?

Yes. If you already subscribe, choose the other plan on this page and it opens your billing page, where you can switch. Your credits are set to the new plan's monthly allowance as soon as the change goes through.

How do I cancel, and what happens to my songs?

Cancel any time from Manage billing on your account page. You keep your plan and credits until the end of the month you have paid for, and you will not be charged again. Your songs stay in your library — your account simply moves back to the free plan.

Who handles payment?

Our payment provider, which acts as the seller of record and handles tax. Your card details are entered on its secure checkout page and never reach LyricDraft.
